Trailer

Revolt is one of the great driving forces of contemporary history. Unpredictable, it suddenly throws millions of people into the streets, unsettling even the strongest-established regimes, leading to confrontations that are often bloody, and never ends as we had imagined. But why do some people revolt and others not? These mechanisms remain a mystery. By comparing five of the greatest revolts of modern times, these films shed new light on the storms that are changing the world. France in 1968, Iran in 1979, Poland in 1980, China in 1989 and Tunisia in 2010: regardless of the time, the regime and the country, revolts follow the same rules.
