It's Our Time!
Portrait of a committed generation
Directed by Susanne Erler
From Paris to Warsaw and Berlin, an European tour of the militant movements led by the younger generation.
Trailer
For a growing fraction of today's youth, it is urgent to act. Against the deadly lifestyle of past generations that has precipitated the climate crisis, against social inequalities and discrimination, against a globalized economy to the point of absurdity, whose flaws have been highlighted more than ever by the outbreak of the coronavirus.
In this film, ZDF journalist Aline Abboud gives a voice to young Europeans who are taking action to shake things up. In France, she meets Priscillia Ludosky, a figure of the "Yellow Vests" movement, and Assa Traoré, an anti-racist activist. In Poland, she meets with progressive and pro-LGBT activists such as the artist Daniel Rycharski, who are facing the rise of nationalism and conservatism in their country; and in Germany, with the "Generationen" foundation, which intends to influence institutions in order to make the voices of younger generations heard, particularly on climate issues.
